Hayward Junction is just southwest of the town of Hayward. It was the crossing point of the Chicago & North Western line to Bayfield, and the Soo Line to Superior. Both are in existence.
The C&NW is now a tourist railroad, while the Soo Line is now owned by Canadian National.
